/ Watsons Bay
Nautical nostalgia at its finest – wall-mounted fish and all.
7 grades of room/suite – 31 total. Views of either adjoining park, local suburb or harbour (obvs. park or harbour are our preferred).
King beds, marble bathrooms, some lofts accommodating family groups, some with balconies, lounge/dining, kitchenette or full kitchen(!).
Pretty self-contained – Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel is where you go to fully appreciate the serenity.
On-site restaurant covers all meal windows so you’ll be well-fed, pub-style.
If you’re after a bit more bustle, both Circular Quay and Manly are just a ferry ride away from the dock right out front (see below for our brunch or night-on-the-town recommendation).

Our Mini-Itinerary of Recommendations for Your Stay at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel
The Boathouse Rose Bay with restaurant or ‘walk-in only’ café options is 10mins down the road from Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, open from 7am. Martina is also 10mins for lunch/dinner meal windows (unless it’s a weekend cos then you’ll get brekkie too).
If you’re into high-end shopping, Double Bay is a quick car ride. More shopping can be had if you line your stay up with the Watsons Bay Summer Market, which boasts 150+ stalls and some pretty cool vendors in the mix.
Swimming is likely on your agenda – Camp Cove is an 8min hike north for a panoramic dip, or alternatively, Watsons Bay Baths is 4mins south.
The Sydney Harbour Hopper will ferry you between Watsons Bay and either Circular Quay or Manly a few times a day. We think head to Manly for brunch at Norma’s Deli, or lunch at Queen Chow and to Circular Quay for dinner at Le Foote, followed by drinks at Apollonia and an Uber home.
Why Stay at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel?
Again, for the serenity, or if you’ve a particular penchant for a nautical interiors scheme. Stunning views obviously, and easy-access to the CBD plus Manly when you’re ready for human interaction.
